A firewall with customizable options for Android
Just as we protect computers from external threats and viruses, we need to do the same with our mobiles. This tool will enable us to protect our Android using a powerful firewall.
Monitor the apps that connect to a network
AFWall+ is a firewall that protects Android devices and blocks unauthorized access to a network. It is totally free, but we need to download the APK file and have a rooted device.
From the main menu, we will be able to set up access from all the apps that we have installed on the device. All we need to do is tap to restrict access to network data and control traffic.
It allows you to restrict which apps are permitted to access your data networks.
This is an open-source tool with tons of preferences, including experimental options. However, we will need to know what we are doing if we don't want to get into a pickle.
To use this tool, we have to open the options menu and turn it on, but itdoes require a root (which is quite normal in mobile firewall apps). So, it won't be enough to just open the app and tap a button, but if we already have a rooted device, it should be a piece of cake.
