There are many tennis games in the Android catalog, but few can boast the official Australian Open stamp. From the start menu we can see the Mallorcan tennis player Rafa Nadal welcoming us to the experience.
Our goal in Australian Open Game will be to create a personalized tennis player and play matches until we become the champions of the tournament. However, we will also be able to train and play fast matches without major complications.
You can unlock all players registered for the 2019 Australian Open tournament.
To play we start with two basic players: a boy and a girl. From the character menu we can edit their appearance as we like. We will be able to change elements such as hair colour, skin tone, clothes, equipment or racket. But we can also choose their name, nationality and dominant hand, among other details.
The controls have been greatly simplified so we can concentrate on the game itself. Just touch the point where you want your player to move, and slide your finger down to finish off the racquet. Our player also has some autonomy and will sometimes move to a more advantageous position on their own.
On the technical side, both the sound effects and 3D graphics aim for a realistic look that enhances the immersive experience. However, details have been sacrificed in the visual design, resulting in somewhat dull scenarios that lack some essence.
In short: what we can find in this sports game are simple tennis matches to be played easily. If you are looking for something more complete, maybe this is not the title you are looking for, but it's equally fun.
