Distance and Area Measurement is a simple app that turns any Android device with geolocation capabilities into a measurement tool. And it is capable of measuring distances as well as areas or surfaces on the fly.
To use this application it is necessary to be outdoors. Once the system receives the GPS signal, we can start moving, either on foot, by bike, or by car.
As we move, the data will be recorded and we will obtain a fairly accurate result. However, the developers themselves warn us that the greater the distance or surface area, the better the results. Additionally, it calculates the margin of error of the measurement.
Turn on this application and walk or drive through a region to measure its area. The length of the road is also measured.
Although the interface is not what you would call modern, it is quite intuitive. In addition, it lets us easily change the units of measurement through the drop-down menus on the main screen. In other words, it is simple but effective.
