To do so, we can buy compatible ink cartridges, and to save ink, we have InkSaver.

Save ink on your printer

This simple program tries to maintain printing quality but optimizing the printer consumption so that it uses less ink. Unlike printing "draft" copies (an option offered by many printers), InkSaver doesn't mean to reduce the printing quality, it simply optimizes the Ink use, being able to use up to 75% less than would be used during a normal print out.

We'll have to tell the application our computer model, it has support for the majority of printers on the market, and the only other configuration that it requires is the quantity of ink that we want to save. Once configured, InkSaver will indicate the maximum saving rate that it is going to achieve for our printer, how much the cartridge costs and the estimation of how much money we're saving.
