Low-cost messaging and SMS
SMS messaging may seem like a thing of the past but it is in fact still commonly used in certain countries. Jaxtr SMS is an instant messaging application for Android that allows users to send text messages for free to other users of the app or send low-cost international SMS messages.

The advantage of Jaxtr SMS over other messaging apps is thatit is not essential for the receiver to also have the app in order to receive messages. In this case, the messages arrive as TXT files that can be read and replied to in a normal way.
Of course, any kind of messaging app, such as WhatsApp or Telegram, or even mobile tariffs with unlimited SMS included, renders this application from 2012 totally outdated. However, in its heyday, this app allowed its customers to save money when they needed to talk to their contacts.
