Run ‘n gun game with a certain retro feel
If you are a classic game player, the first time you go into this game for Android it will undoubtedly remind you of the Metal Slug series. Those games were particularly ground-breaking at the time. Metal Soldiers aims to recover some of that spirit and offers us a classic-style run ‘n gun game, but with some very colorful, revamped 2D graphics.
Metal Soldiers 2 combines the adrenalin of platform games with the action of 2D shooters.
Jump, shoot and gather coins before your time runs out
The mechanic of the game is very simple: jump from platform to platform (without falling) while eliminating as many enemies as you can and collecting coins and clocks. The clocks are for gaining more time in order to be able to finish your mission, and you will certainly need some extra time, because they don’t give you much. Meanwhile, you can use the coins to unlock new characters and buy upgrades like:
- Shield
- Super-jump
- Rapid fire
- Magnet
- Speed
Throughout the game you will be able to get different weapons, which adds an extra incentive to the adventure. You have four touch buttons to play with: left, right, shoot and jump (and double-jump). It may not be the most original game in the Android apps catalog, but it will remind you of some of the games from the old days and allow you to have a fun time shooting at an endless number of enemies.
