Detect objects in movement from a sequence of images

Motion Detection is an application that provides the possibility to detect objects in movement given an image sequence. To do so, it uses a series of algorithms that base their functioning on the comparison of the still shots that form part of a video or animated scene.

Main features

• Detect and frame the objects or people that are moving, given a series of still shots.
• Support for several image sources: AVI format video file, webcams updated using JPEG images or MJPEG (motion JPEG), and various capturing devices, like for example, a USB camera.
• Possibility toactivate an alarm signal or a recording when movement is detected.

One of the important aspects of this application is its use as a security system that allows you to detect people moving when your business is closed or when you aren't at home, by analyzing the still shots from a recording made by a security camera.
