You'll surely know many audio players, but, what happens when you want to combine the playback of your favorite songs with their corresponding Karaoke lyrics In these cases, there aren't so many applications available.

A simple and practical solution to play the contents of the MIDI, CDG and MPEG files that contain the lyrics of your favorite songs is PyKaraoke.

PyKaraoke works natively with the MP3+G, OGG+G, WAV+G formats that are usually used for the playback of Karaoke songs. As well as being compatible with other formats, whether through the same application or an associated external player.

Once your file collection has been added, PyKaraoke will search for any compatible formats (MIDI, KAR, OGG+G, WAV+G, MPEG o CD+G) in the specified directories, even checking the contents of compressed files. By double-clicking on any of these files you'll be able to view, in a new window, the lyrics of the song, that will be highlighted according to the defined time of the Karaoke file.

As an additional feature, from the command line, the application is capable of converting the CDG and KAR Karaoke formats to MPG.
