A fast-paced, 2D, pixelated action role-playing game
Mobile device manufacturers have gone to great lengths to develop screens that can offer content in 4K and 8K; simultaneously, video game developers are going all out to launch titles with a pixelated 1991 retro feel. One example of the latter is Slime Hunter, an action RPG featuring past eras graphics that, let's face it, provide a romantic touch that many fans of the genre appreciate.
Nostalgia, fast-paced action, and 2D side-scrolling
This isa fairly fast-paced RPG that leads players to a magical kingdom where, with your heroes' help, you will fight the slugs that threaten it. To do this, you will develop your characters as the game progresses, acquiring powers and skills that make you tough to beat.
Perhaps the most interesting thing about this game is its 2D, side-scrolling format reminiscent of Mario Bros. and similar platform games rather than an RPG, which usually show what they call 2.5D perspectives. It has different game modes, dozens of characters, and the possibility of competing in a global ranking with other players.
That said, whether you are interested in competition or not, if what you want is a good action-adventure RPG with a romantic and nostalgic touch, you should definitely give these slug hunters a chance.
