Every great city started life as a tiny village. In this game you will witness how your own community grows. Set out the area to be urbanized, connect it with roads, provide water and electricity, and wait. However, above all, get ready to dish out huge amounts of dough. Nobody said that being a good mayor was cheap.
TheoTown is a simulator where you can build your own town.
A town with endless possibilities
What will your town look like That depends on you. As you offer more services to your townspeople, the population will grow. Your decisions will determine how many people come to live in your town, and their level of happiness. You will have to manage education, energy, transport, business, credit, finance, pollution, noise and health, as well as many other issues. In order to balance these difficult equations, you have a menu of options at your disposal (if you have the cash, obviously) and they are the following:
- Land: paving, plants, water, sand, etc.
- Transport: subway, train, airport, bus, etc.
- Areas: commercial, residential, industrial, farming, port, etc.
- Services: police, fire fighters, education, etc.
- Utilities: energy, waste, water, funerals
- Public facilities: parks, beaches, sport centers, stadiums, churches, public buildings, etc.
- Famous monuments: Eiffel Tower, the Chrysler Building, the Ô-ji Buddhist Temple, etc.
- Catastrophes: disease, fire, meteorites, earthquakes, floods, tornados, etc.
With the reproductions of famous landmarks, you will be able to recreate your favorite towns, while catastrophes allow you to play with the townspeople, destroy everything and control population (in a rather cruel way). You will also be able to connect your town with other towns in the same region and unlock hidden content, as you upgrade your skills as a mayoral god.
The graphics, without being that detailed, are as nice as the sound track. They have also added a weather effect, so that you can see how the sun sets, how it comes up, and how it rains, while you play at being god.
