How does VirusTotal Uploader work
How VirusTotal Uploader works is very simple. Once installed on your computer, you can analyze any file stored on your hard drive by means of one of these two methods:
- Selecting the file from the Windows Explorer and right clicking. Then all you have to do is choose the "Send To" option and then "VirusTotal" from the context menu.
- Launching the application and using the "Select file(s) and Upload" feature.
Once you have uploaded the file that you want to check, a web page will open where you'll be able to see the results of the analysis carried out by more than 20 well-known antivirus engines, among which you'll find: Avast, AVG, BitDefender, Comodo, McAfee, NOD32 and Panda.
Make sure that the files downloaded from the Internet and those stored on your hard drive are harmless before launching them, by using VirusTotal Uploader.
